From FTX: Friday night April 27th in Manhattan, New York, Eric Utsch made his victorious debut as a Fairtex fighter against a very tough Andra Gal. The fight was under New York Semi-Pro rules, and consisted of five two minute rounds.
Eric fights out of Breinigsville, PA but travels to the west coast to train under Jongsanan Fairtex. Jonsanan was in Eric's corner Friday night in New York, and was pleased with his fighter's performance.
The first round started slowly, as both fighters worked to feel each other out. In the second round things sped up. Andra appeared to have stunned Eric with a small combination, but Eric pressed forward and set up solid kicks to Andra’s left thigh. In the third round Eric sustained a cut above his eye from colliding heads as he tried to clench. However, he dominated the round. Eric again turned things up a notch in the 4th with a flying knee, and continued to work knees as Andra did his best to stay away and out of Eric’s clench. Amped full of energy, Eric confidently moved into the 5th round. He continued to press forward, aggressively making Andra stumble on his feet. Eric dominated the entire round.
Eric would win a unanimous decision victory, and the crowd roared in approval. It was a great hard fought victory for Eric, and a fantastic way to make his debut as a Fairtex fighter. From everyone at Fairtex, congratulations Eric!
