Congratulations to Lou Armezzani of LionHeart Fighters who won by first round TKO at Gladiator Fighting Championships in Virgina this weekend to improve his amateur record to 3-1. Teammate Paul Bradley is looking to extend his unblemished professional record to 7-0 this coming Saturday at NAAFS: Caged Fury in Cleveland, Ohio.

Brett "Night Crawler" Myers of the York Mixed Martial Arts Academy in York made his amateur MMA debut this weekend at Gladiator Fighting Championships in Virginia facing Brian Lane of Yamasaki MMA in Fairfax, Virginia. Here's some insight on the fight from YMMAA Instructor George McGinnis. "Well it started out as planned. Brett looked to exchange and his opponent worked in for the clinch. Brett looked for the guiotine but didn't lace it in time and his opponent got the big take down which put him in side control. Brett kept cool and shrimped his way to half guard and eventually to full. His opponent was limited on BJJ training and couldn't effectively break Brett's guard. From there his opponent stood up with Brett's guard intact and slammed Brett in an attempt to open the guard. Brett transitioned his hips for an arm bar lock, but his opponent was steadily trying to inflict damage from the top. Brett set up a triangle off his opponents fury and laced it deep. Bretts opponent showed great heart and didn't quit and attempted to stack pass out of the triangle but Brett soon after transitioned to the "arm bar switch" and finished the fight moments later." Myers and his camp are currently considering a division change that would put Myers at the stats of 6'1" 155lb.

Ramos tries to hip out giving Rumsey his arm. Rumsey goes for the armbar, Ramos postures up and with still complete control of his arm, Rumsey steps over Ramos' head and gets in a deep face down armbar falling to the mat.
